In principal the Quantum-Touch practitioner learns to focus and amplify life-force energy, which is most often referred to as “Chi” or “Prana”. This is accomplished by combining various breathing and body awareness exercises. When the practitioner holds a high vibrational field of life-force energy around an affected area, through a process of resonance and entrainment, the client naturally matches the vibration of the practitioner, allowing one’s own biological intelligence to do whatever healing it deems necessary.

I believe that all healing is self-healing, and thus, my favorite definition of a healer is someone who was sick and got well; a great healer is someone who was very sick and got well quickly. As long as Quantum-Touch breathing and body awareness exercises are employed, the practitioner never becomes drained in the process. As Jerry Pittman, M.D., wrote, “In its elegance, Quantum-Touch provides healing bioenergy for the healer as well as for the person seeking healing.”

Terri, received a dozen roses on Monday as a gift. On Wednesday, a day that we have a full day of treatment sessions, Terri brought my wife, Fern, one of the roses as a gift. Fern ran energy into a vase full of water, then placed the rose into the water and gave it one more boost. The following Sunday, when we held our regular services at four in the afternoon, Terri brought the remaining roses to place on our altar. Fern added her rose to the other roses. • Acceleration of the healing process. The body has an extraordinary ability to heal itself and Quantum-Touch helps to activate this process. The ranges of organic conditions that have been helped are far too long to list.   Quantum-Touch Helps Adopted Child's Transformation My husband and I spent approximately three and a half years in the process of adopting our daughter from China. As those who have adopted internationally know, there is a tremendous amount of preparation, research, paperwork, etc. that goes into the adoption process and brings a family to the point when they are given the referral (photo and medical report) of the child that has been matched with them. We got Eliana's referral when she was eight months old. There were two things I noticed about the referral that concerned me. The first was that she looked so distant and sad in the photos we were given (see "Ellye Sitting" and "Ellye Walker"). The second thing was that her medical report said she was "quiet, shy and liked being in her own world." To me, these indicated that she was probably not getting all of her emotional needs met and was a bit withdrawn from life, most likely due to lack of stimulation. (*Please note, this is NOT the fault of the orphanage; they do the best they can with the limited resources they are provided with.). It was around this time that I first learned about Q-T and I specifically signed up for the course to use it with our daughter and her attachment. I began distant healing 18 days before we got her (from the night that the workshop covered distant healing), envisioning her attaching to us, happy and secure. We were told to expect a child that was grieving, and that our child could reject us for up to one week or more. Eliana was placed in my arms at the civil affairs office and immediately fell into a deep sleep; she woke up laughing and giggling for me. She was the largest and healthiest baby in our adoption group. In fact, seven babies came from the same orphanage as Eliana during the week we got her, and four of the babies made trips to the local hospital. The only quantifiable difference between Eliana and the other children was that we had used Q-T and the other families had not. When we got Eliana she was ten months old and she was developmentally behind (couldn't even hold her head up). Since then, we have continued with Q-T, mostly via distant healing because she is very sensitive to energy. When she had her 12 month check up, Eliana tested at the developmental level of a 15 month old; there are other babies who are catching up, but most were still behind. Eliana is developmentally ahead (according to target skills) and that was after we had only had her for 11 weeks; thank you Q-T!!! When I took Eliana to her 12 month check up the doctor asked if she was my biological child. I explained to him, "No, we adopted her from China." Then, at the end of the appointment he asked me how long Eliana had been with us. When I told him 11 weeks, he almost fell over! He said, "I cannot believe that. Looking at her developmentally and how attached she is to you, I would have guessed you adopted her at one week old, not ten months old!" I had quoted the orphanage report that said Eliana was "quiet, shy and liked being in her own world." Today, Eliana is anything BUT quiet or shy, and she LOVES being with people. She talks all the time, sings, chases anything that has to do with Elmo and adores music. She is completely opposite the original photos and report. I am so glad to see her thriving as much as she is. It just makes my heart glow. I continue to use Q-T with Eliana on a regular basis. In March I will have completed the last of the requirements for my instructor certification and it is my hope to run live basic workshops in Los Angeles, Portland and Dallas this summer specifically for adoptive parents or other parents wishing to learn how to use Q-T for attachment purposes. • The spontaneous adjustment of bones into their correct alignment with only a light touch. Everyone can do this within the first hours of training, which is astounding to most chiropractors.   The x-rays were taken of a young woman who was under great stress that day. Dr. Parr, D.C. took the x-rays and drew the lines on the x-rays that you see and measured the percentage of misalignment. Before -- note how the axis vertebrae points 8* to the left nostril. The orbitals show a 3.5* misalignment. After -- note how the axis vertebrae now points up vertically and the orbitals are almost fully level. Part of the excitement of this work is exploring new frontiers of human abilities.

  A Case Study on Bowed Legs by Terry Negri, certified Quantum-Touch Instructor

  	Five minutes before I started a Quantum-Touch lecture at Chicago’s Transitions Bookstore, a mother brought her little daughter Sally, to see if it could help the girl’s bowed legs. Sally’s knees were very far apart when she was standing, so I stood her on the chair and worked on her hips for about five minutes. She just stood there calmly and trusting. After the 5 minutes I asked her mom to take Sally around the store and "let everything integrate." During my lecture the mother said, "I want you all to see this" She explained how both of Sally’s knees were so bowed that it was painful for Sally to walk and even painful watch her walk. Sally had also been undergoing painful physical therapy for her bowed legs on a regular basis with no obvious results. In the back of the store there is a chain across the door. Before the lecture, Sally was not able to reach up and touch it. She told Sally that in another year, she would be tall enough to reach it. "Just now, Sally reached up for a chain, and with her knees straight she could easily reach it." Mom and grandma were very thrilled. The audience clapped and cheered when the mom told her story and some people had tears in their eyes. In subsequent visits, Sally’s knees have remained straight. I’ve often seen extraordinary healings with Quantum-Touch, but we don’t always get the photos to document it.

• Inflammation due to injury is rapidly reduced. Quantum-Touch works wonders post-surgically, as well as on trauma, burns, and even poison oak. One nurse told me that a physician asked her to stop using Quantum-Touch post-surgically since he could no longer predict how much pain medication to give the patient.

• Excellent results with babies, animals and people under general anesthesia. These sessions demonstrate that the results we see are not due to a psychological mechanism such as placebo or suggestion. In Pennsylvania, pulmonary blood gas levels during surgery were found to rise substantially if the patient received Quantum-Touch while under general anesthesia. Finally, stories of people helping their pets are quite common.

  In one well-documented case, a baby (Teddy) was born 13 weeks premature with severe fetal alcohol syndrome, Teddy was also addicted to amphetamine, with severe facial dysmorphology. The prognosis was for severe retardation and institutionalization. A family that knew Quantum-Touch adopted him, and gave him sessions each day him. At one year of age, he was tested and showed no facial dysmorphology, average height and weight, no sign of addiction, performing 100% developmentally with above average intelligence.

  Today Teddy is four years old. If a child falls or injures themselves at daycare, then Teddy is there hugging them or as he says "putting colors into them" to make them better. Before he was two, Teddy would walk up to family members, locate pain and run energy. He would stop and say the pain is gone and then meander upon his way. By three years of age he was playing with the "color of the light and exclaiming how hot his hands were". At night he would lay in bed and tell you what color light you were shining.

  As Teddy grows in skills and exposure to other influences, we stand aside watching where his journey takes him. Currently, he plays with his sixteen-year-old sister "seeing the light." He continues to nonchalantly use his energy upon those he perceives as being need. His perceptions of others and his compassion continue to develop. He has grown into an inquisitive well-centered human being.

• Emotional and psychological conditions respond well to Quantum-Touch. Panic attacks will usually conclude extremely rapidly, and I’ve heard reports of it working well with multiple personality disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Life-force energy can cause one to feel emotionally balanced and can bring about rapid and profound emotional shifts in a short amount of time. It is not uncommon for someone who is experience an extremely painful emotional state to be brought to a state of well being in session of 15 to 30 minutes.

   

• Induction of sleep or deep meditation. Within about 2-7 minutes, most people will start having their eyes moving involuntarily if they receive a session on their head while they are lying down. These people will often feel as if they had fallen asleep. I am told that there is nothing in psychological literature that would allow people to drift so quickly into sleep unless they were severely depressed or had had narcolepsy. Many people feel that they are moving into the fastest and deepest meditation of their lives. For others, it shows them what it would be like to meditate deeply.

   

• Distant Healing. Dr Norman Shealy had devised a test he has used for decades on famous people that he termed, “world class healers,” He found that some of them actually had the ability to dramatically affect a subject’s EEG readout from a distance when the subject did not know that they were receiving a distant healing. After testing me, he tested his secretary, accountant, and some of his nurses. Dr. Shealy wrote that “Many of my staff were trained and we were able to demonstrate that Quantum-Touch, even without touching the patient (!), and capable of changing the electroencephalogram.” I’ve repeated this test again with good results.

   

• Reshaping bunions and healing deformed or broken bones. We have seen this phenomenon happen occasionally. Timothy Hurst had a multiple fracture of his forearm. When his cast was removed, he had a large banana curve in his forearm. After one session, the banana curve almost completely straightened out. Rev. White Squirrel had been in an accident and later developed a seriously curved femur bone. Her doctor wanted to surgically cut the bone in half and remove a wedge and then set the bone at a 7-degree angle. After a single session, the bone somehow straightened out and now causes her no problems. From time to time we have also seen bunions reshaping themselves, and I’ve heard a few other reports of spontaneous healing of broken bones.
