QUANTUM-TOUCH RETREAT ON KAUAI, HI WITH ALAIN HERRIOTT

2. Thoughts of Thankfulness – by Richard Gordon
One of the things that truly amazed me about Quantum-Touch is that it plainly
demonstrates that our love has impact and value. This became
overwhelmingly evident when I visited Dr. Norman Shealy, who set up a test to
see if distant healing could affect electroencephalograph (EEG) readings.
The people receiving the tests did not know they would be receiving a healing
session. The first 30 minutes of each test was to establish a baseline
reading and during the next 30 minutes I did distant healing. Not only
were EEG waves profoundly shifted from these sessions, but surprising powerful
healings took place too. One man in the test reported that his back pain
disappeared; the next woman found that the inflammation and swelling due to her
recent wisdom tooth surgery had been almost completely eliminated.
I was shocked. Sure, I had intellectually believed that our thoughts have
impact, but to see it so visibly and so blatantly caused me to stop to deeply
consider the implications. Oh my God, OUR LOVE HAS IMPACT!
Over many years I've come to understand that Quantum-Touch is one of the most
important things for humanity to know and utilize. Please join me this

3. Powerful Practitioner Insights
(1). When working with a client, deliberately cultivating an attitude of
appreciation for them, for yourself, and of respect for the body area or
problem of concern in some way makes the energy of the session more vibrant, or
enhances it in a way that is very beautiful.

(2). At first I found sweeping and breathing rather jerky. I now
visualize sweeping and breathing as like a wave collecting and breaking.
I see myself collecting energy through sweeping and breathing up to my head as
the wave reaches its crest, then sweetly offering the energy as I breathe down
my arms to my hands and the wave breaks and slowly runs up the sand (at a speed
to match the type of breath I use).

(3). When a client is unclear, anxious or upset about an issue, I invite them
to drop from the thinking in their head down into the feelings of their
heart. I then invite them to see a lotus flower in their heart opening up
as their heart becomes open and receptive. Next I invite them to be open
to receiving a message relevant to their issue, which may come as a color,
symbol, words, an insight or other sense. If necessary I help them ask
questions to gain understanding. Several clients have received deep
insights in this way.

(4). Before I start the treatments, I try to connect myself with the
Unconditional Love, to give the best to the person. In the breathings of
QT, in the inhalation I imagine that my heart inhales Divine and Unconditional
Love (from God or Jesus), and I request that in the exhalation, that Unconditional
Love flows through my hands toward the person. That thought keeps me from
judging the person and lets me connect quickly with the flow of energy from the
beginning of the breathing techniques.

4. Miraculous Recovery from Removal of a Gangrene Gallbladder
This past July my husband had his gallbladder removed due to gangrene.
Before he went for surgery, the doctor prepared my children and I for the worst.
He told us that there was only one thing left for us to do, and that was to
pray. There seemed to be little hope that this man would survive the
surgery.
I began doing Quantum-Touch as soon as he entered the O.R., and I did distance
healing while he was in surgery. I continued to do Quantum-Touch until
the wee hours of the morning. When the surgery was finished and he was on
life support, I continued Quantum-Touch therapy for another full day, every
hour, until the following evening. The medical team took him off life
support, and they could not understand how this man was able to bounce back so
quickly after having such a serious operation. He began to breathe with
very little help of the oxygen machine. He regained his strength in half
the time that the medical staff thought he would. The doctor, up until
this day, tells us how amazed he is to see this man alive. He said he
thought he would never see him up and about again, and says it is a miracle how
he recovered.
Thanks to Quantum-Touch and all the people who do Quantum-Touch. We can
never know the power of Quantum-Touch until we experience it.

5. Bouncing Back from Severe Fibromyalgia
My partner was diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia five years ago. She was
bedridden for 2 years and unable to consistently work since that time. A
friend had read "Quantum-Touch: The Power to Heal" and attended a
basic workshop. She suggested Quantum-Touch and after only one session my
partner was able to return to work and complete the school year which had not
happened in the previous five years. This certainly made me a believer!

6. Lacerations on a Finger Healed Rapidly
My receptionist was clipping her hedges at home about 1 1/2 weeks ago, when the
shears slipped and cut the middle and ring fingers of her right hand. It
was pretty deep. It really probably needed stitches. She chose
instead to begin running energy on herself that night after cleaning it.
The next day, I saw her in the office (I am a Family Practice Physician) and
the lacerations were pretty deep. I normally would have put stitches in
them except the wound was now too old to do so. Instead, I ran energy on
her for about 20 minutes. She has continued to run energy on herself, and
yesterday, almost exactly 10 days after the injury, the lacerations are almost
totally healed! They look as if we'd put the stitches in right away!
I continue to be amazed by what QT can do.

7. Quantum-Touch Dissolves Pain and Saves A Vacation!
I was working in my office here in Washington, D.C. this morning around 10:30am
when I received an emergency phone call for help from a dear friend of mine in
Mexico City. She was scheduled to fly to Madrid, Spain that very
afternoon for a 10 day vacation with her daughter (to Madrid and Paris).
She was lying in bed in agony, suffering from a sudden attack of sciatica
running from her left hip down into her left leg. She was in such pain
that she could not get out of bed and walk, and there was no way that she was
going to be able to take her trip in that condition.
I asked her what the pain was at on a scale of zero to ten.
"Eleven," she said with difficulty (she later told me the real number
was "one thousand"). She asked me to please do a healing on
her. I brought her into my "space" and ran energy on her sciatic
nerve, her hip, her leg, etc. for 60 minutes. At the end of the healing,
I called her back on the phone. The pain had gone down to a three.
"It is still sore," she said with relief, "but I can move around
with no difficulty, and take my trip!" I let her know that the
healing would continue over the next few days, and she could expect the
remaining pain to dissolve in the next couple of days (I had run energy on her
before, and that was what had happened whenever there were any residual
symptoms left at the end of the session).
My friend called me from the airport, about to board the plane. She told
me that the remaining sciatica pain was at only a one and a half on a scale of
zero to ten! She was ready to have a wonderful vacation thanks to Quantum-Touch!
Two days later, I received a call from a hotel in Madrid, Spain. It was
my friend calling me with great delight in her voice to let me know that, even
though she had been on a long intercontinental flight, by the time she got to
Madrid the Sciatica pain was at a zero. It had completely disappeared,
and she was delighted to be able to spend her birthday in Madrid with her
daughter completely pain-free. Quantum-Touch was her perfect birthday
gift!
Three cheers for Quantum-Touch! It not only dissolves pain, but it also
saves people's vacations!

8. Reviving a ‘Dead’ Frog
My two young cats love to terrorize frogs and lizards. They don't like to
eat them, just "play" with them. We have tail-less lizards and
traumatized frogs all around the property. The other day I caught them
torturing a helpless little froggy. I chastised the cats and sent them
packing, then picked up the lifeless frog. I remembered what Richard
Gordon recommends in the book about saying to ourselves, "I don't know if
what I'm about to do can heal this or not, but I am open to seeing what happens
and I know that every being has a blueprint of wholeness to access."
With that state of mind I cupped the little froggy inbetween my hands and did
the fire breath. Then I continued to breathe for about three
minutes.
Not being particularly fond of reptilian creatures, I wasn't necessarily
looking forward to the frog coming back to life, however, I also remembered how
Richard says to just keep running the energy and your desire to heal will
transcend your current emotional state! Just about then I felt a squiggle
and opened my hands. The frog was literally coming back to life.
Very shortly thereafter it jumped into the flower bed.
I share this story with you because even though I have been teaching
Quantum-Touch for six years now, I'm still quite amazed how running the energy
can actually bring the life-force back into a living creature. Give it a
try sometime!

9. More QT in the OR
Quantum-Touch has become an integral part of my anesthesia management from my
preoperative assessment of the patient until I give report to recovery
room. Recently I was assigned to do anesthesia for a pain management
physician inserting a morphine pump to deliver continuous morphine into the
spinal canal. Unfortunately, he was delayed at another hospital and would
be three hours late. Now these patients are on MEGA doses of pain
medications, and are on nothing by mouth protocol. I zipped over to
pre-op holding and asked the nurse to get permission for the patients to take
their own medication with a sip of water.
By the time I went to check on the second patient, I saw a man with a look of
terror on his face. When asked what was wrong, his wife replied that the
medication was stuck in his throat, and that he was unable to swallow.
(Afterwards, I checked his chart history to discover that he had been in a
freak accident, falling three stories and breaking his neck, along with several
other things. He was fused from C2-C7. The surgery has a side
effect of affecting the muscles of swallowing.) I immediately went into a
Quantum-Touch sandwich of his neck as I introduced myself. As I expected,
he was able to swallow his medication. Now I had both the patient and his
wife with a deer-in-a-headlight appearance. I then proceeded to put my
hands behind his neck to relax the cervical raphe.
As his head and neck began to move and unwind, he exclaimed: "You don't
understand. I can't move my neck! How come I can move my neck?" I
told him that someone forgot to tell his body that it was unable to move.
He then asked me why the nurses in his rehab didn't know how to do 'this
stuff.' I only wish I knew the answer to that one.

10. A ‘Supermarket’ Session
I had to share this with you. I was in the supermarket at about 11 PM on
Thursday. While I was checking out I noticed the cashier leaning on the
counter obviously in great pain. When I asked her what was wrong she said
something about sleeping wrong for several hours with her neck twisted. I
then asked her if she had ever heard of QT and the response was no.
I offered to work on her. She immediately accepted and said her pain
level she perceived to be a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. I had her place my
hands on the pain area and after one minute of giving her energy she said it
was almost gone, and it was down to level of 2. I worked on her for a
total of 5 minutes and she was all smiles and said the pain was totally
gone. The store security guard who had witnessed the whole procedure
stood there with his mouth open. That experience made my whole day.
This story is intended to be sharing with my QT Instructor, not bragging.
This was my first experience with a total stranger. Now, instead of
calling my impromptu sessions “Cafe Sessions," I will call them my
“Supermarket Sessions."

11. Barbero the Race Horse
In May, 2006, a beautiful, young race horse, known as Barbero, broke his right
rear leg above and below the ankle in three places during a race. This
horse demonstrated potential to win the Triple Crown. He
underwent a major surgery, but doctors still gave him a 50/50 chance on
survival. He would never race again, but could be used for breeding.
This news went out on the Quantum-Touch Message Board. People wrote in
from all over the world sending energy to young Barbero.
Just two weeks ago, in early November, the following good news came over the
message board from Ali, a Certified Quantum-Touch Instructor and
Practitioner:
“Animal lovers, rejoice! I heard on today's news that they took the cast
off the horse's badly broken leg yesterday, and that he is walking freely
today. The news story gave the vets all the credit, of course.
Granted, their care and dedication was awesome. But many from
Quantum-Touch and other healing groups were doing distant sessions and sending
their love, so I am sure that a lot of the good outcome was because of that!
