2.  A Great Adventure - by Richard Gordon

When Ben Franklin discovered the power of electricity about 250 years ago, it opened the world to a vast realm of discoveries that continues to change our lives.  I believe that the use and understanding of life-force energy will change our world even more profoundly in the next 100 years than most of us would imagine.  Electricity allowed us to power our civilization and change the face of the planet for better and for worse.

The use of life-force energy will allow us to take the power of our love to transform how people care for one another.  When we run energy, there is a natural opening of the heart. People tend to move away from dogma and judgment into more heartfelt places, opening to a deeper love and spirituality. Rather than trying to control, manipulate, overpower and contain those we do not agree with, we may love, heal, understand and nurture a deeper compassion as well as brilliant surprising new solutions.

I believe that only through a shift of consciousness will we open to evolutionary transformation.   The new technologies that come from this will astound us in their beauty and elegance.  QT is one of these New World solutions.  Keep breathing and sweeping - your love is so very valuable and more needed than ever.

3.  Practitioner Insights

(1) I discovered that inanimate objects can use the Quantum Energy.  My car had a terrible squeak that my husband had made numerous attempts to subdue.  The squeaking was terribly distracting and annoying.  I ran energy into the part of the car that was squeaking while I was driving.  Within 20 minutes the squeaking was greatly reduced.  After another 10 minutes, the squeak was pretty much gone.  I get a small squeak every once in awhile to which I run energy and that goes away.  Too fun!

(2) I was running energy in my husband's kidney area while he had a severe kidney stone attack.  The pain was pouncing very strongly.  Suddenly I had the feeling my hands had to go to the feet.  I was extremely focused doing the sweeping and the different breathing techniques, especially the fire technique.  At one point, the pain calmed down.  This gave me the insight that treating another area can have a great impact to release pain somewhere else in the body.

(3) In stillness, healing happens.  When I sense a profound stillness during a session, i.e. the air feels warm, thick and quiet; I continue breathing and sweeping but stop all amplification techniques.  I allow energy to flow at this point by getting completely out of my own way.  The client and I are often left energized.  Healing appears to be amplified in this stillness.

(4) For large areas of pain/problem I sometimes create a bubble around the area of concern and then see hands all around the bubble in my heart for others and the capacity of the energy building each time I exhale.  The effect is multiplied by the omni-directional effect of the hands all around the area.

4.  Suicide Prevented

Jeremy confided to my husband that he was contemplating suicide. After enduring 9 months of agonizing pain, for which the doctors, x-rays and tests found no cause, he didn't want to continue living like he was.

He hurt almost all over. His hands and feet were weak and painful to touch, he had pain and stiffness in his shoulders, forearms and joints, and lack of mobility was causing circulation problems. But most excruciating was the pain in his feet and knees.

The physical agony was compounded by the humiliation of no longer being able to support his wife and teenage children. Rather than feel useful, he only felt like a burden to his wife, now the sole provider.

Since Jeremy was bed and couch-ridden, Rick agreed to a house call. As Rick ran energy, layer after layer of emotional garbage was peeled away. Physically, that first session produced little more than some movement in Jeremy's upper back. From an emotional standpoint, this was a major attitude adjustment.  It was the difference between night and day. Instead of the emotional wreck that had greeted Rick, he was leaving a man who was now optimistic of his possible recuperation. He had hope.

That night as Rick told me of Jeremy's condition, a picture formed in my mind of a feeble old man, unable to get around on his own, and I felt sorry for him.

During the second session, the following day, they literally heard and felt seven bones in the right foot move back into place and three in the left. Jeremy's hips leveled out.

When they finished, Jeremy sat up on the couch and gingerly placed one foot and then the other on the floor. He slowly increased the weight he put on them and finally stood up. It was obvious by the look on his face that he couldn't believe there was no pain. He then moved his weight from one foot to the other, back and forth. After bending his knees several times and satisfying himself that everything was working and he was truly pain-free all over, he bolted from the room. He returned in a few minutes and sheepishly explained, "You have NO idea how good it feels to be able to run to the bathroom when you need to."! For so long, he was denied that simple pleasure, having instead to crawl slowly, painfully, to get about.

After that second session, Rick didn't see Jeremy.

Exactly one year later we were preparing to move from Colorado to Oregon and held an indoor/outdoor yard sale to lighten our load. We were standing in the living room when a gorgeous, thirty-something year old man appeared in the front doorway. I stood transfixed to the spot and watched with curiosity and wonder, as this Yanni look-alike and my husband smiled at each other and strode across the room into each others embrace.

Oh yea, Jeremy was doing just fine.

5.  Heart Grows Two By-Pass Veins

My father came to visit me for the Christmas holiday and had a heart attack. The visiting hours in the Critical Care Unit were: Even hours for 15 minutes from 6 am to 8 pm. During visiting times I would lay my hands on his leg as not to disturb all the other wires and IV lines and run energy. Then I would run some energy in the waiting room for him and other families in the unit. The doctor took the Christmas holiday off and scheduled a cath procedure when he came back. However, he came out of the operating room and said that no procedures were needed that my dad had grown 2 bypass veins. His explanation was that the heart had many veins so small that they could not see them. The drugs administered for 8 days had dilated the veins enabling them to enlarge and carry more blood to his heart, thus in effect he had grown his own bypass veins. Smiling, I thanked the doctor and knew that QT was a blessing.

6.  Quieting the Internal Dialogue

The pain relief this woman experienced was much greater than I originally thought.
I worked on a woman with multiple sclerosis. She complained about frequent vertigo and constant pain in her left shoulder. I worked on her with QT running energy into her shoulder for about forty minutes without any success at all. She still had pain in her shoulder "that's never going away," as she reported, with the same rating (7). She tried massages, pain killers and something else, but nothing helped. I became frustrated, because I knew that QT could help. We took a short break.

The second session was much more productive. I think that the big problem in the first part of the session was that she couldn't relax and stop her internal dialogue. The moment she succeeded in that, I felt strong, hot energy flowing from my hands to her shoulder. The heat became so intense I feared an increase would put blisters on my palms. Fortunately, that didn't happen.

In approximately 15 minutes she told me the pain had subsided. Ten minutes after that she reported the pain completely gone. Although the pain returned in a few days, I conducted distant healing on her, and the pain left completely for an entire two weeks.

Needless to say, I was very happy and excited for her. That, however, is not the reason I decided to write about it. I began reading about multiple sclerosis to understand the disease the better to help her.  This disease damages myelin sheathing that goes around nerves, so that the nerves become like a wire with damaged insulation. Symptoms can be triggered by heat; for example, a hot shower, bath or even a hot day can bring on symptoms. That's why massage could never help. Her pain wasn't due to sore muscles or pinched nerves, which are treated successfully with deep, penetrating warmth.

As it turns out, it was a good thing I didn't know that heat causes pain in people with this disease, because the heat coming from my hands was very intense. Her pain, however, went away completely after that session. What this tells me is that her damaged sheathing was repairing itself during the QT session on a very deep level. I realized this only after reading about the disease. It is another proof that QT works miracles.

7.  You'll Never Know Unless You Try

The toilet was full of blood.  Mom had accidentally walked in the bathroom while Dad was urinating. That's how she found out.

It had been going on for six weeks and he was in excruciating pain. But Dad didn't want anything to do with doctors, or hospitals, or tests; he wanted to die at home.

I had learned Quantum-Touch the week earlier at Richard's workshop and I didn't know if it would help, but I grabbed the book and headed south, from Colorado Springs to Deming, New Mexico.  During the ten-hour drive, I occasionally ran energy and instead of getting out of the car stiff and achy. I arrived feeling limber and refreshed and ready to go to work.

I explained Quantum-Touch to my parents and said that it might not do anything, but could I give it a try?  Dad looked through the book and said, "Sure son."

I ran energy on him for 45 minutes when Dad stopped me.  "Son," he said, "the pain has been so bad that I haven't slept for the past two weeks.  I'm out of pain now and feel like I could sleep.  Could we finish this in the morning?"  And so we turned in for the night.
Vigorous shaking from my Dad woke me up. "Son!  Son!"" What Dad?  What's wrong?"  My eyes then focused on my Pappy beaming down at me.  "Not a thing son.  I slept through the night.  I have no pain, and I'm not peeing blood anymore." 

I stayed on a few more days and ran energy on him a couple more times, just to "make sure". That was in 2001.  Dad turned 84 last September and the condition never came back.  To me, that alone was worth the price of tuition many times over.

8.  The Power of Love

Recently, my daughter called from Hawaii (I live in Utah) saying that one of her 5 year old twins had had surgery, and the incision had gotten infected. She had a high fever and was very lethargic. Her mom was very worried.

I had visited with them a month or so earlier, so knew how her bedroom looked, etc. I sat in the dark and started Quantum-touch on her.  There is a four hour time difference between our locations. The energy really flowed, especially because of my love for that little sweetheart. I started imagining that I was in her room in Hawaii and I was actually touching her. I sent energy to her for at least 30 minutes.

The next morning I called her Mom (my daughter) and asked about the baby. She had no idea what I had done.  She said it was amazing that the granddaughter had gotten up that morning and was like an energizer bunny, bouncing off the walls and was over all her symptoms.

A week or so later, another daughter called who lives in a town about twenty minutes away from me in Utah.  She said her youngest daughter (age 3) was so sick from the flu, was going at both ends and was terribly dehydrated.  She was worried that she would have to take her to the emergency room the next morning. So, after everyone else was in bed, I sat in the dark again and started running energy into this little one.

Again the energy flowed strongly.  I was also imagining I was touching her, and I started sending her a mental message that she was "thirsty"  "so thirsty" "she needed to have some water, NOW".  I called my daughter the next morning and asked how the baby was. She said she kept getting up all night wanting water, which she had refused all day previously.

Thanks to Quantum-touch, my husband and I have had many experiences that are amazing.

9.  Pain and Suppressed Memory

Every Monday night for 2-3 hours, I do volunteer work at our food co-op offering free, 15-20 minute "demo" QT sessions to shoppers and staff. I'll spend 15 minutes on those who "don't have any problems", and 20 minutes with those who do. I not only get to introduce new people to this incredible technique, I get 15% off my food purchases the following month.

Two weeks ago a woman came to me with upper back/neck pain, plus chronic left forearm pain that she's had for years. After balancing her pelvis and occipital ridge, and working on her cervical spine and upper back, I focused on her forearm for the last 5 minutes.

After the session, she stated that, while working on her forearm, an incident surfaced in her mind that she recognized as the probable source of that pain. This incident occurred several years ago. She thought she had already let it go and had forgotten about it. She not only felt less pain, she was happy to have that unpleasant emotion surface.

She lives at least 40 miles away, so I was surprised (and humbled) to see her waiting for me the following Monday. She told me that she made the trip specifically to receive another QT session.

I worked on the same areas as the previous week for 20 minutes. Her feedback was that she was amazed! She said the healing on her forearm "picked up EXACTLY where it had left off last week." This time, with eyes closed, she clearly saw the person who caused the injury. Then she described looking into the open end of an hour glass, laid out horizontally at eye level. She saw the person slowly walk away from her, towards the narrow opening in the middle. Then, after disappearing through the center, the hole was sealed with red paint. She interpreted this as a sign that the incident was now in her past, and that she could totally release all memories of it. Her forearm pain was gone.

I love Quantum-Touch. I didn't have to ask her anything about the person or the incident. I didn't have to make her share her story with me, or drag her through the emotional trauma associated with her pain. Nor did she have to re-live any of those unpleasant moments.

Without shedding a tear, her body's own intelligence knew what needed to be done to release that pain. It was tailor-made for her understanding. No history taken, no objective observations, no analyzing what might be causing her pain, and no plan other than offer the Universal Life Force Energy with love to her forearm.

Every day, I thank all the powers of the universe for allowing me to work with them and watch their magic unfold.

10.  Post Operative Nausea

We had just finished a long, tedious day in the OR, when I was hailed by my supervising anesthesiologist. He wanted me to accompany him to Same Day Surgery where there was a post-op patient with intractable nausea and vomiting. Drugs had not worked on her, and he wanted to see if I could "cure" her. Turn on the Quantum-Touch and the barfing ceased. She, her family and the anesthesiologist were wonderfully pleased, the family so much so that they wanted to know where they could learn how to do Quantum-Touch. Another happy ending!!!

11.  Quantum-Touch Helps a Partial Seizure

My oldest daughter (age 17) has a history of grand mal seizures. She had several seizures when she was 12, went on anti seizure meds for 2 years, and hasn't had a seizure since. Last night she woke me up at 2AM, saying she felt strange, with bad abdominal pain, a headache, and leg pain. She said she felt like she had the last time she had prior to having a seizure.

I had her lay down and started to run energy into her abdomen. Her abdomen was as tight as a drum with constant muscular contractions occurring. I could feel no difference after about 20 minutes of running energy. I had a strong impulse to go to her head. I started running energy into her pituitary gland and immediately knew I was in the right place. The energy was being taken in by her brain so rapidly! After a while I went back to her abdomen and these muscles were relaxing. She started to go to sleep, but asked me to work on her legs. Her legs had constant muscular activity, similar to her abdomen.

I ran energy concurrently into her legs and pituitary. After a total of an hour of running energy all muscular activity had ceased and she fell into a deep sleep. In the morning, she awakened with a little headache and tired, but no other symptoms. As a nurse, I look at her symptoms now and believe she did experience a partial (focal) seizure. Five years ago when she had seizures I was not trained in Quantum-Touch. It's great to know this can work for this serious problem!

12.  Equine Cranial Vault Realigned

Leah is a 20 year old Arabian mare that was trained to drive a cart and to ride under saddle. She is a kind soul and wouldn't want to hurt anyone. But a couple of years ago her personality took a turn for the worse, where she would squeal and kick whenever another horse would come by and she would always act as if she was in "Season".

It turned out that she had had a cart accident a few years ago, but two years ago she had taken a big fall with her owner and they "skidded" quite a few feet. So I had the pleasure of treating her yesterday using CranioSacral Therapy and Quantum-Touch. As an Equine Body Worker I am familiar with the anatomy, and I did my evaluation of her and noticed quite a few things, but mostly that her cranium had a twist or a tilt in it. Her left eye was lower and her left nostril was higher. Her owner observed the same thing. When I checked her point of shoulder for tenderness, she pinned her ears and fired out with both hind feet. She reacted in a similar manner when I palpated her neck. So it was evident she had suffered quite a bit of physical trauma from these accidents.

During my treatment on her temporal bones and frontal bones putting my attention and focus on the sutures, I felt the whole cranium shift back and forth. I continued to work on the frontal bones and the lacrimals (under the eyes) which again was very painful, she wanted to kick out. After the session she was visibly relaxed and her eyes were level and so were her nostrils. The point in her shoulder did not have any reaction and neither did her neck. The observers noticed that her face actually looked "fuller". Leah was grateful; I was amazed along with the owner and the other witnesses. I have had many experiences that have been next to miracles, but this was the most astounding for me. I had just finished a Quantum-Touch video workshop that had been very enlightening and educational for me. So putting the new ideas in place magnified my experience.

"It is actually quite amazing how much Quantum-Touch fits with Christian principals (though many Christians think it is not "of G-d", but I think that has more to do with lack of understanding and a fear of what they do not know). If you look through the stories of Jesus' life accounted for in the New Testament you see tons of references to touch and healing, and to the concepts of intention and healing as well (all things talked about in the course and on the basic videos with Richard). In one story in the New Testament, a person in need of healing touches the hem of the garment Jesus was wearing and was healed. Just the intention for healing which came with touching the cloth on the body of Jesus was enough to promote healing in that individual. There are stories where Jesus stops and takes the time to physically touch those who are sick, and it is his touch that heals them. There is that deeper understanding that part of the healing process involved the element of touch and, of course, my favorite part of the New Testament teachings to quote to Christians regarding Quantum-Touch healing would be what Jesus says to his disciples after he has performed many miraculous healings. "You can do all this and more." He didn't believe he was the only one who could promote healing; he knew that the ability to promote healing is something that is inherent in all of us. All we need to do is stop and actually acknowledge the abilities within us."
